Most dictation apps send your voice to their servers. Talk2me does the work on your computer's own chip. We never receive your voice, your words or your files. So we can't train on them, sell them or leak them.
No account. No tracking.
No sign-up, no user ID, no ads. Anonymous usage counts only if you say yes. Your audio, words and text never leave your machine.

Talk2me is designed and built in Canada by a small, independent team. We think privacy is a right, not a premium feature. So we built an app that needs as little trust as possible: the safest data is data we never get.
If you use Proton, Signal or a no-logs VPN, you already know the rule. Talk2me follows it too.
This website, too
We don't track you here either.
- No tracking cookies. No pixels, no ads, no session replays, no fingerprinting.
- No third parties. Every script and font comes from this site. Nothing from Google, nothing from ad networks.
- Visits counted, people not. We count page views as totals (page, referring site, country), with no cookies and nothing that identifies you.
- Your email only if you ask. We keep it to send your invite. We never share it. Remove it yourself, any time.

Is it really private?
Yes. With a voice model on your computer (the default choice), your audio is turned into text on your machine and never leaves it. Talk2me has no account and collects nothing about you. If you pick a cloud engine instead, your audio goes straight from your machine to that provider, with your own key, and Settings tags that route so you always know.
Do you train AI on my voice?
Never. Your data belongs to you, and we never touch it. We never receive your voice or your words, so we can't train on them, and we never will. That is how Talk2me is built, not a setting you have to find.
Does it need the internet?
Only to download the app and, once, the voice model. After that, dictation on your machine works offline. Talk2me also checks for updates by asking for one small signed file. That request carries nothing about you, and nothing installs until you press Update now.
Which platforms does it run on?
Mac today: Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 13 or later. Windows and Linux are next. Join the waitlist and pick your platform, and we'll tell you when it's ready.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the private beta.
Why does macOS warn me when I first open it?
This beta is not yet notarized by Apple. macOS asks you to confirm once: open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. The download page walks you through it.
